Air Freight Sales Executive

About This Role

Join a leading New York-based international logistics provider moving over 500k annual shipments across 220+ countries. We are seeking a seasoned 'hunter' profile to drive growth for our international air export and import services through strategic relationship building and expert market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify, and secure new air freight business with direct shippers and e-commerce brands.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach and quoting to onboarding and long-term account growth.
• Leverage deep knowledge of air freight market dynamics to provide competitive pricing and service solutions.
• Cross-sell our full suite of logistics services, including ocean freight, customs brokerage, and fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline records, activity reports, and market forecasts within our CRM.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional outside sales experience within the freight forwarding, NVOCC, or IAC sectors.
• Proven track record of generating new business revenue and a portable book of air freight accounts.
• Comprehensive understanding of international trade lanes, airline capacity, Incoterms, and IATA/TSA regulations.
• Hands-on experience with logistics-focused TMS platforms and modern CRM software.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills with a self-motivated, results-driven mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience serving e-commerce and marketplace shippers (Amazon, Shopify, etc.).
• Strong existing professional network within the air freight and logistics industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
