Licensed Customs Broker / Senior Entry Writer

About This Role

We are seeking for a highly skilled and hands-on Licensed Customs Broker to manage the full lifecycle of customs entries. You will play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance while providing technical leadership and mentorship to our growing import team.

Responsibilities

• Personally prepare, review, and transmit customs entries for air and ocean shipments from start to finish. • Ensure all import transactions maintain strict compliance with 19 CFR, ACE, and Partner Government Agency requirements. • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to the import team regarding HTS classification, valuation, and admissibility. • Manage direct communication with clients to resolve documentation gaps and complex regulatory issues. • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance entry accuracy and reduce CBP delays.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License. • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in customs brokerage or import compliance. • Deep proficiency with CBP regulations, ACE, ISF filings, and HTS classification. • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex entry discrepancies. • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience and expertise using Descartes (One View) software. • Demonstrated success in mentoring staff or leading small brokerage teams. • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. • Experience navigating complex commodities, including chemicals, machinery, or dangerous goods.
